Social Media Examples
This tweet for the Peace Economy Project did incredibly well compared with PEP's other tweets. The tweet did well because of the timeliness of the topic (just weeks after Berta Caceres' death) and the use of the #Honduras hashtag. I thought the article featured provided great context to Honduras and Caceres' death.
It's not clear in the picture, but this Facebook post includes a two-minute video of Ann Winblad discussing Bill Gates. To date, the video has nearly 800 views. The goal of this Facebook post is to encourage Facebook fans to watch the full episode by showing them an interesting snippet.
This Facebook post is an example of content I like to create around holidays and other news breaking events. I use Buffer's Pablo tool to add the text to the photo and then share the photo on Facebook with some text. I perform a quick search to find an intriguing and relevant quote to feature.
Above is a screenshot of the Facebook and Twitter following counts during my last five weeks at Inside. The Google Sheet includes data of five weeks tracking weekly active users and sessions for the 14 news apps and plugins, sessions and page views for the web properties, the main weekly metrics for the four properties the CEO cared most about and month over month metrics for the main Inside app. I created the charts to track weekly growth across all properties and presences.
